You might have seen Apple keynotes, which have been simple but elegant. There was one that I looked for every time I watched the keynote. That was the products' unveiling designs. But on each video, there was a name, Jony Ive, chief design officer. But this year, there wasn't any product introduction video.
There wasn't any video for iphone or any apple product's introduction because there came news in June this year that Chief Design Officier Jony Ive has left Apple. But we didn't know, why he has left Apple.
Ive was the former and most experienced employee of Apple. Ive joined Apple in 1992 and led Apple's design team from 1996. In 2015, he was promoted to the Chief Design Officer at Apple.
There were several rumors and news about the reasons of Ive's leaving Apple. Some said that he has joined Samsung while some speculated on the reason that the strict policy of Apple for phone leaks is the main reason. But the actual reason of Ive's leaving Apple was to work for the design company, LoveFrom, which he has founded with his friend Marc Newson, his old friend. Ive's last day at Apple was a bit of a mystery.

But the actual press release from Apple said that his departure from Apple would occur later this year. Some said that he has left as I mentioned above. With the announcement of this news, Apple also removed his name from their leadership page.
In the press release, Apple's CEO Tim Cook said, "Apple will continue to benefit from Jony’s talents by working directly with him on exclusive projects, and through the ongoing work of the brilliant and passionate design team he has built. After so many years working closely together, I’m happy that our relationship continues to evolve and I look forward to working with Jony long into the future.”
That is because Apple has already become a client of Jony Ive's company LoveFrom. In the press release, Apple also mentioned that Apple will continue to work with Jony Ive as the customer of LoveFrom.
